1967 | Dr Hermann Brandt organises the first official tchoukball meeting to establish a committee to run the sport. |
1970 | Tchoukball was presented internationally, winning the International Physical Education Federation (FIEP) 'Thulin Prize'. |
1971 | The FITB is founded by Switzerland and France on 05 June 1971 with Tchoukball's creator Dr Hermann Brandt as President. |
1972 | United Kingdom (under the old name of the British Tchoukball Association) joins the FITB. |
1972 | Dr Brandt passes away on 15 November, and is replaced by Dr Théodore Werey at the 1973 General Assembly of the FITB. |
1975 | An international development plan is created by the FITB to spread tchoukball throughout the world. |
1976 | The first major international tournament takes place, between France, UK and Switzerland. |
1977 | John Andrews of the FITB introduces tchoukball to Taiwan, where it is immediately extremely popular. |
1984 | The first FITB International Tchoukball Tournament takes place in Taiwan. 6 countries, 2 continents. |
1987 | FITB International Tchoukball Tournament in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. 6 countries, 2 continents. |
1989 | Tchoukball is showcased at the World Games in Karlsruhe, Germany. 5 countries, 2 continents |
1990 | World Tchoukball Tournament in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. 6 countries, 2 continents. |
1995 | Due to the Ryacin terrorist attack in Japan, the 1995 tchoukball tournament is cancelled. |
1998 | Tchoukball is introduced to Brazil by Ocelio Antonio Ferreira. |
2000 | The 30th anniversary of tchoukball inspires the beginning of the modern era of the sport. |
2000 | The FITB World Tchoukball Championship in Geneva. 6 countries, 3 continents. |
2002 | United Kingdom hosts the FITB World Tchoukball Championships at Loughborough. 7 countries, 3 continents. |
