Purpose:
The purpose of the Homologation Commission (HC) is to oversee the certification and homologation process for Tchoukball equipment, ensuring that all equipment used in official competitions meets FITB standards. The HC is responsible for issuing certification processes, regulations, and contracts, testing equipment, and working with manufacturers and distributors to ensure compliance with FITB standards.
Authority:
The Homologation Commission operates under the authority of the FITB and reports to the Secretary. It is authorized to:
- Issue and regulate the certification process for Tchoukball equipment.
- Develop and enforce requirements for certification of equipment.
- Certify manufacturers and distributors that meet FITB equipment standards.
- Propose royalty structures to the General Assembly for approval.
The Homologation Commission shall consist of:
- Tino Siu (Chair, Homologation)
- Additional members with expertise in equipment testing, certification processes, and sports manufacturing
- Representatives from national Tchoukball federations or equipment experts.
Membership will be appointed by FITB for a term of 4 years and will include individuals with relevant expertise in equipment certification, homologation, and legal aspects of contractual agreements.
Responsibilities:
The Homologation Commission will be responsible for:
- Issuing the certification process for Tchoukball equipment, including forms, certification fees, and deadlines for manufacturers and distributors.
- Issuing regulations and requirements for the certification of Tchoukball equipment to ensure compliance with FITB standards.
- Issuing certification contracts to manufacturers or distributors seeking FITB certification.
- Testing equipment and delivering certification to manufacturers or distributors that meet the required standards.
- Publishing a list of FITB-certified sport manufacturers and distributors on a regular basis.
- Proposing the amount of royalties to be paid to FITB by certified manufacturers and distributors, including the preparation of explanatory notes, proposals, and submitting them for approval by the General Assembly.
- Proposing the distribution of royalties between FITB and its Members, preparing recommendations and explanatory notes, and submitting them to the General Assembly for approval.
Meetings:
- The Homologation Commission shall meet [frequency] or as required, with a quorum consisting of 2/3 members.
- Decisions will be made by [voting/consensus], and minutes will be circulated to the FITB Executive Committee and other relevant bodies.
Reporting:
The Homologation Commission will submit regular reports to the FITB, including:
- Updates on the certification process and list of certified manufacturers/distributors.
- Testing results and any new certifications issued.
- Proposals on royalties and their distribution to the General Assembly.
Resources and Support:
The Homologation Commission will be supported by the FITB Secretariat and will have access to the necessary resources, facilities, and materials to carry out its duties.
Review and Amendment:
This Terms of Reference will be reviewed annually to ensure relevance and effectiveness. Amendments may be proposed by the Homologation Commission and must be approved by FITB.
