The Public Relations & Sport Promotion Commission (PRSPC) leads and provides support for the promotion of tchoukball globally. It manages external communications and works with our National Federations to maximise the amount of media exposure for tchoukball.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Public Relations & Sport Promotion Commission (PRSPC) is to enhance the visibility, reputation, and global reach of Tchoukball through the production of publicity and educational materials, effective public relations strategies, and targeted sport promotion efforts. The PRSPC will focus on developing the sport in new and emerging countries, promoting Beach and Wheelchair Tchoukball, and securing financial sponsorships and support for FITB activities.

Authority:

The PRSPC operates under the authority of the FITB and reports to the Vice President.  It is authorized to:

  • Produce and distribute publicity, teaching, and illustrative material for the promotion of Tchoukball.
  • Assist in designing FITB’s public relations strategies and producing FITB publications.
  • Compile and maintain a catalogue of FITB literature, films, videos, pictures, and posters, expanding the library where necessary.
  • Promote Beach and Wheelchair Tchoukball on a global level.
  • Instruct and support national federations and committees in their public relations efforts.
  • Seek sponsorships and financial support for FITB events and initiatives. – Promote the development of Tchoukball in new and emerging countries through targeted public relations and outreach efforts.

The PRSPC Commission shall consist of:

  • Jean Francis Gwade (Chair, PRSPC)
  • Additional members with expertise in public relations, marketing, and sports promotion
  • Representatives from national federations and media or marketing professionals, where relevant.

Membership will be appointed by FITB for a term of 4 Years, including individuals with relevant expertise in public relations, marketing, sponsorship acquisition, and sport promotion.

Responsibilities:

The PRSPC will be responsible for:

  1. Producing publicity, teaching, and illustrative materials to promote the sport of Tchoukball.
  2. Assisting in the design of FITB public relations strategies and contributing to the creation of FITB publications and official communication materials.
  3. Compiling a catalogue of FITB literature, films, videos, pictures, and posters and expanding the FITB library with new resources.
  4. Promoting Beach and Wheelchair Tchoukball, ensuring these disciplines receive adequate visibility and support.
  5. Supporting national federations in their public relations efforts, providing guidance, materials, and strategies for local promotion.
  6. Engaging in efforts to secure sponsorships and financial backing for FITB events, activities, and long-term projects.
  7. Promoting Tchoukball in new and developing countries, organizing outreach campaigns and working with local federations to grow the sport’s presence.
  8. Organizing workshops and events focused on sport promotion to teach national representatives how to effectively market and grow Tchoukball in their regions.

Meetings:

  • The PRSPC shall meet [frequency] or as required, with a quorum consisting of 2/3 members.
  • Decisions will be made by [voting/consensus], and minutes will be circulated to the FITB Executive Committee and other relevant parties.

Reporting:

The PRSPC will submit regular reports to the FITB, including:

  • Progress on public relations initiatives and sport promotion efforts.
  • Updates on sponsorship acquisition and funding opportunities.
  • Reports on the promotion of Beach and Wheelchair Tchoukball.
  • Updates on outreach activities in new and developing countries.

Resources and Support:

The PRSPC will be supported by the FITB Secretariat and will have access to facilities, resources, and materials necessary to carry out its responsibilities.

Review and Amendment:

These Terms of Reference will be reviewed annually to ensure relevance and effectiveness. Amendments may be proposed by the PRSPC and must be approved by FITB.
