Coaching Commission

The Coaching Commission (CC) is responsible for the training, regulation, and development of coaches on an international level, while ensuring the safety and integrity of the sport. It also analyzes tchoukball games and events, leading the conversation about future tactics and practices globally.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Coaching Commission (CC) is to analyze international Tchoukball games and events, and develop proposals regarding the future content, organization, and structure of the sport. The CC is also tasked with enhancing the training, regulation, and development of coaches on an international level, while ensuring the safety and integrity of the sport.

Authority:  

The Coaching Commission operates under the authority of the FITB and reports to the General Secretary. It is authorized to:

  • Establish and enforce coach regulations.
  • Develop and maintain international coach training programs and symposia.
  • Provide recommendations on the structure of Tchoukball coaching globally.
  • Publish official FITB coach lists and related material.

The Coaching Commission shall consist of:

  • Liao Jian Xiong (Chair, Coaching)
  • Additional members with expertise in international coaching, sports management, and education
  • Representatives from various national Tchoukball federations.

Membership will be appointed by FITB for a term of 4 years and may include individuals with relevant coaching, organizational, and event analysis expertise.

Responsibilities:

The Coaching Commission will be responsible for:

  1. Analyzing international Tchoukball games and events to propose updates to the sport’s coaching strategies, structure, and content.
  2. Organizing and drafting coach regulations and ensuring compliance with international standards.
  3. Compiling, Developing & Reviewing training material for coaches, keeping in line with modern practices and advancements in Tchoukball.
  4. Organizing international coach training programs and hosting FITB symposia in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  5. Holding / recognizing training courses for sports coaches, teachers, and physical education instructors globally.
  6. Selecting, engaging, and monitoring international coaching trainers to ensure quality and consistency in coaching practices.
  7. Issuing international coach identification and maintaining a robust system for recognizing accredited coaches.
  8. Recognizing and training instructors who can, in turn, train other coaches.
  9. Publishing and maintaining a list of certified FITB coaches for official use and reference.
  10. Developing publications and teaching programs aimed at preventing injuries and safeguarding the well-being of athletes in Tchoukball.
  11. Instructing and supporting national federations by guiding relevant committees and personnel in coaching matters.

Meetings:

The Coaching Commission shall meet [frequency] or as needed where a quorum will consist of 2/3 members present. Decisions will be made by voting and minutes will be circulated to FITB Executive Committee and if necessary to all CF Executive Committees

Reporting:

The Coaching Commission will submit regular reports to the FITB, covering:

  • Progress on international coaching programs.
  • Analysis of international games and resulting proposals.
  • Updates on the training and certification of coaches.
  • Status of ongoing symposia and courses.

Resources and Support:

The Coaching Commission will be supported by FITB Secretariat as required, and will have access to facilities and materials needed to conduct training and certification.

Review and Amendment:

This Terms of Reference will be reviewed annually to ensure relevance and effectiveness. Amendments may be proposed by the Coaching Commission and must be approved by FITB
