Whistleblowing Policy

Our Commitment to Integrity and Safe Sport

The International Tchoukball Federation (FITB) is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability across all levels of our sport. We believe every athlete, official, volunteer, and stakeholder has the right to participate in an environment that is safe, fair, and respectful.

To protect this commitment, FITB provides a secure and confidential channel for reporting concerns related to misconduct, unethical behaviour, or violations of FITB policies. Speaking up helps safeguard our community and strengthen the integrity of tchoukball worldwide.

What You Can Report

FITB encourages the reporting of any behaviour that may harm individuals, compromise fair play, or undermine the reputation of the sport. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, abuse, or discrimination of any kind
  • Doping violations or attempts to circumvent anti-doping regulations
  • Match-fixing, corruption, or bribery
  • Financial misconduct, fraud, or misuse of FITB resources
  • Conflicts of interest not declared according to FITB rules
  • Serious breaches of FITB Code of Ethics or Safe Sport policies
  • Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith

If you are unsure whether your concern qualifies, we encourage you to report it. FITB reviews all submissions seriously and respectfully.

How to Report a Concern

FITB provides several avenues for reporting so individuals can choose the method they feel most comfortable with:

1. Online Whistleblowing Form (Preferred)

Submit a confidential report through our secure online platform. You may choose to remain anonymous.

2. Email Reporting

Send your concern to: contactus@fitb.org
All reports are handled with strict confidentiality.

3. Direct Contact

You may contact the FITB Ethical Commission or a designated Safe Sport representative. Direct conversations are kept confidential and documented with your consent.

Confidentiality and Anonymity

FITB protects the identity of all whistleblowers to the fullest extent possible. Reports may be made anonymously; however, providing contact information can assist in our ability to follow up effectively.

Information shared is handled sensitively, securely, and only disclosed to individuals directly involved in the review and action process.

Protection Against Retaliation

FITB strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, raises a concern or participates in an investigation. Retaliation—such as threats, intimidation, differential treatment, or harassment—will lead to disciplinary action.

We want every whistleblower to feel safe, supported, and respected throughout the process.

How FITB Handles Reports

Every report is taken seriously and follows a structured process:

  1. Acknowledgement – FITB confirms receipt of the report (if contact details are provided).
  2. Initial Assessment – Concerns are reviewed to determine appropriate next steps.
  3. Investigation – Qualified, impartial investigators gather facts and evidence.
  4. Outcome & Actions – Findings are evaluated and appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions are taken.
  5. Follow-Up – Whistleblowers may receive updates depending on confidentiality constraints.

FITB ensures all investigations are fair, impartial, timely, and compliant with international governance standards.

Our Shared Responsibility

Maintaining a culture of integrity is a collective effort. FITB encourages all participants in the global tchoukball community—athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, national federations, and partners—to uphold and protect our values.

If you see something that concerns you, speak up. Your voice helps ensure that tchoukball remains a sport rooted in respect, fairness, and trust.
