The Ethical Commission (EHC) is responsible for upholding and promoting ethical standards within the global Tchoukball community, ensuring that Tchoukball is practised in a safe, fun, and healthy environment for all.

Purpose:
The Ethical Commission (EHC) is responsible for upholding and promoting ethical standards within the global Tchoukball community. This includes establishing a Code of Ethics for participants at FITB events, organizing ethics-related training, and ensuring that Tchoukball is practised in a safe, fun, and healthy environment for all.
Authority:
The Ethical Commission operates under the authority of the FITB and reports to the President. It is empowered to:
- Develop and enforce a Code of Ethics for all Tchoukball participants.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and provide educational materials to promote ethical behaviour.
- Recommend sanctions in case of violations of the Code of Ethics.
The Ethical Commission shall consist of:
- Chairperson: Dominic LE FEUVRE-RAEYEN
- Additional members with expertise in ethics, sports law, and sportsmanship
- Representatives from national Tchoukball federations.
Membership will be appointed by FITB for a term of 4 years and will include individuals with experience in ethical governance, sports education, and disciplinary processes.
Responsibilities:
The Ethical Commission will be responsible for:
- Establishing a Code of Ethics Agreement for all Tchoukball participants (players, referees, officials, etc.) to sign at FITB events.
- Organizing ethics seminars, workshops, and educational programs to promote ethical behaviour among Tchoukball participants.
- Encouraging FITB to host and promote Tchoukball events that provide a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for participants to grow, learn, and enjoy the sport.
- Setting up sanctions and disciplinary measures for breaches of the Code of Ethics, in collaboration with relevant FITB bodies.
- Collaborating with national federations to implement ethical guidelines and ensure compliance at national and international Tchoukball events.
- Developing educational material (e.g., teaching guides, videos) that emphasize the importance of ethics in Tchoukball.
Meetings:
- The Ethical Commission shall meet [frequency] or as necessary, with a quorum consisting of 2/3 members.
- Decisions will be made by [voting/consensus], and minutes will be circulated to the FITB Executive Committee and other relevant parties.
Reporting:
The Ethical Commission will submit regular reports to the FITB, including:
- Updates on the development and implementation of the Code of Ethics.
- Progress on ethics seminars and workshops.
- Information on any sanctions or disciplinary measures taken.
Resources and Support:
The Ethical Commission will be supported by the FITB Secretariat and will have access to facilities, resources, and materials necessary to carry out its responsibilities.
Review and Amendment:
These Terms of Reference will be reviewed annually to ensure relevance and effectiveness. Amendments may be proposed by the Ethical Commission and must be approved by FITB.
